Account Manager
We are now seeking an Account Manager to build and maintain strong supplier and customer relationships. The candidate will support Head of Seed Treatment to develop and increase the business in UK and for export, work with suppliers and colleagues to develop new products/areas of expertise and take them to market, and contribute to the business plan for the seed treatment business unit.


Spalding, Lincolnshire

1. Build key long-term relationships with key customers and suppliers. 2. Develop the annual sales plan and budget for seed treatment sales and communicate the progress to Head of Department on a regular basis. 3. Using technical knowledge and understanding of seed treatments to help drive team strategy, initiatives, and sales. 4. Represent the company and operate as lead point for managing key 3rd party seed treatment customers and develop a long-term trusted advisor relationship, interpreting client’s requests and ensuring they are fulfilled wherever possible. 5. Implement strategic plans for seed treatment and work with Head of Department to set and meet financial targets and drive business for existing technologies e.g. seed hygiene methods and seed treatments in new areas / new species in close collaboration with ‘Business Development team’ and contributing to the overall growth of the company. 6. Working closely with Marketing Manager, help drive the promotion of Elsoms seed treatment and seed testing services to customers in UK / overseas and contributing to all activities surrounding Open days, conferences, grower meetings etc. 7. Using product and market knowledge, support the logistics team with accurate prognosis and forecasts of customer requirements.

The position

• Degree in relevant subject is desirable or equivalent by experience
• PA 1 qualification
• BASIS (Seed sellers) qualification
• Experience working in agriculture or related industry
• Key account experience and/or long-term customer relationship management
• Experience working in technical production promotion, sales, or customer service
• Knowledge of client relationship management (CRM) applications
